Dr. Maryam Yashtini is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University's Department of Mathematics and Statistics (College of Arts and Sciences). She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and dual M.S. degrees in Mathematics and Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Florida. Her research focuses on optimization, computational mathematics, and machine learning applications in medical imaging and computer vision. Notable contributions include algorithms for MRI image quality improvement and AI-generated image detection.
