Dr. Jia Li is a Professor at the Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education at Ontario Tech University and a John A. Sproul Research Fellow at UC Berkeley. She holds a PhD from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, and conducted postdoctoral research at Queen’s University. Her research focuses on leveraging new technologies for language and literacy development, particularly in K-12 and undergraduate education. She directs the TALLL Lab, emphasizing data-driven instruction and culturally responsive pedagogy for Indigenous and diverse learners. Dr. Li’s work spans mobile technologies, mixed-methods research, and ESL integration across curricula. Education: PhD, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (University of Toronto) Postdoctoral Research, Queen’s University Research Interests: Culturally responsive pedagogy, digital technology in education, language and literacy development, Indigenous education, quantitative research methods, and technology-assisted learning.
