Mequanint Moges is an Instructional Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology at the University of Houston (College of Technology), serving since 2005. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stony Brook University (2005), an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from UNSW Sydney (1997), and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Addis Ababa (1991). Research Interests Focuses on optimizing wireless sensor networks, computer/communication systems performance, and job scheduling in parallel/distributed systems and computational grids. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications in networked systems. Awards & Recognition Recipient of multiple teaching excellence awards (UH 2014, CoT 2013/2008) and advisor to award-winning student teams in Cornell Cup USA (2012-2014). Notably advised the SEMG project (Distinguished Recognition, 2014) and Fire Analyzer Robot (FAR, 2013). Teaching & Leadership Teaches advanced courses in networks, embedded systems, and telecommunications. Courses include ELET 6302 (Advanced Wireless Networks), ELET 6318 (Data Network Analysis), and undergraduate core courses like Circuit Theory and Microprocessor Architecture.曾 served as Acting Head of Electrical Engineering at Asmara University (2001). Affiliations Active member of ASEE, IEEE, and the IEEE Aerospace & Electronics Systems Society.
