Professor Federica Angeli is Deputy Dean for Strategy and People and holds the Chair in Public Management and Strategy at the University of York's School for Business and Society. Previously, she served at Tilburg University and Maastricht University, focusing on organizational adaptation to societal challenges. She earned her PhD in Management from the University of Bologna (2009). Her research emphasizes equitable healthcare delivery, poverty alleviation, and complexity-driven approaches to development challenges. Notable projects include the SARA initiative (funded by the Worldwide University Network) and the EScAPE study on pandemic policy advice. Research interests span organizational learning, socio-ecological systems, and global health equity. Her work has been published in journals like Social Science & Medicine and PLOS One , and she co-authored Organizing for Sustainable Development (2021). Awards include recognition from the Academy of Management and the Strategic Management Society. She supervises doctoral students on topics like social entrepreneurship and cross-sector partnerships, and leads grants addressing health system resilience and SDGs. Key roles include Academic Editor for PLOS One , membership in EGOS and the Academy of Management, and leadership in York's Departmental Research Committee. Current projects include strengthening antenatal care resilience and evaluating science advice in pandemics.
