Dr. Gerald Leppert is a Senior Economist at the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) and affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Groningen. With a PhD from the University of Cologne, his expertise spans climate change adaptation, social risk management, and development economics. He leads the Research for Impact team at GCA, focusing on rigorous impact assessments, mixed-methods designs, and causal analysis. His work addresses climate adaptation strategies, public health systems, and social protection mechanisms in low- and middle-income countries.
