Christopher Boone is a Professor and former Dean of the College of Global Futures and the School of Sustainability at Arizona State University (ASU). He holds affiliate roles in the Biosocial Complexity Initiative and the Global Futures Scientists and Scholars program. His research focuses on sustainable urbanization, environmental justice, and vulnerability in the context of global environmental change. Boone earned his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Toronto (1994) and has led interdisciplinary initiatives like the Central Arizona-Phoenix Long-Term Ecological Research (CAP LTER) program. Recipient of the Tyler Prize Executive Committee role and co-founder of the National Sustainability Society, Boone also serves on editorial boards for journals like Cell Reports Sustainability and Environmental Justice . His teaching spans urban sustainability, environmental justice, and interdisciplinary research methods.
