Ty Triston Dickerson is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Health at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He practices as a pediatric hospitalist at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he provides clinical care and educates medical students and residents. His research focuses on community-based maternal & child health in resource-poor settings , with extensive work in rural Ghana and Tibet. Education: M.D. in Medicine – University of Iowa M.P.H. in Public Health – University of Rochester B.S. in Biology – University of Iowa Dr. Dickerson’s research spans global maternal and child health , vaccination rates , hypertension in rural populations , and health insurance participation . His published work addresses challenges in low-resource settings , emphasizing epidemiology , behavioral models , and community interventions . He has authored or co-authored 15 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to abstracts and programs in global health and pediatric medicine . He directs the Graduate Certificate in Global Medicine and co-directs the Ghana Global Health Learning Abroad Program , integrating clinical pediatrics and global health education across institutions.
