Michael D. Langford is a Professor of Theology, Discipleship, and Ministry at Seattle Pacific Seminary, Seattle Pacific University. He holds a BS in Symbolic Systems from Stanford University (1993), an MDiv (2001), and a PhD in Systematic Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary (2010). An ordained Presbyterian pastor, Dr. Langford combines academic theology with practical ministry, focusing on youth, disability, ecology, technology, and vocation. His recent publications address youth spiritual development, including a 2014 Theology Today article on pneumatology in youth ministry and a 2013 CYMT.org piece on mentorship dynamics. These works highlight themes of inclusivity, generational diversity, and practice-driven faith formation. Langford is Executive Director of the Immerse Youth Discipleship Academy and actively involved in Bethany Presbyterian Church, where he lives with his wife and four children. His work bridges academic rigor with community engagement, emphasizing the role of the Holy Spirit in diverse spiritual practices.
