Dr. Haris Ćatović is a Researcher at the Institute of Language, University of Sarajevo, specializing in dialectology, lexicography, and ethnolinguistics. He has been employed since 2014 and served as a part-time assistant at the Faculty of Political Sciences. PhD in Linguistic Bosnian Studies (2023, University of Sarajevo) Master of Science in Linguistics (2017, Džemal Bijedić University) Bachelor in Bosnian Language and Literature (2013, Džemal Bijedić University) His research focuses on Bosnian dialectology, particularly analyzing jat reflexes, Kunovian script, and Southeast Bosnian speech patterns through historical surveys (1897) and modern dialectal complexes (1975–1986). He contributes to major lexicographic projects like Dževad Jahić's Rječnik bosanskog jezika and the Sandžački rječnik . Key publications include studies on phonological systems, cultural lexicon, and orthoepic norms. He received the 2020 University of Sarajevo award for his chapter in the Bosanski akcenatski priručnik . Active in academic conferences, he presented at events in Budapest, Ljubljana, Skopje, and Sarajevo.
