Emmanuelle Delpech is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Theater at the School of Theater, Film and Media Arts. She holds an MFA in Directing from Temple University and is a certified teacher of the Jacques Lecoq physical theater method. Her professional career spans acting, directing, and teaching in independent and institutional settings. Education: MFA in Directing (Temple University); Classical training at Ecole Supérieure d’Art Dramatique de la Ville de Paris; Graduation from Jacques Lecoq School (Paris). Research interests focus on physical theater, clown adaptation, and devised performance practices. Her work explores interdisciplinary collaborations, cultural identity (e.g., FRONTIN’ addressing Blackface traditions), and innovative adaptations (e.g., clown version of Marivaux’s La Dispute ). Teaching engagements include Swarthmore College, Bryn Mawr College, University of the Arts, and workshops at institutions like Movement Theater Studio (NYC). She maintains a full-time teaching role at Pig Iron School for Advanced Training and previously served as regular faculty at Headlong Performance Institute. Labs/Teams: Core member of Pig Iron Theatre Company (8 years); collaborator with Jen Child in projects like The Woman ; active in devising performance works with 1812 Productions and regional theaters.
