Dr. Feifei Tong is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Architecture and Civil Engineering, University of Adelaide, within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering, and Technology. Their research focuses on fluid dynamics, offshore engineering, and hydrodynamics, with particular emphasis on subsea cable stability, flood resilience, and numerical modeling of marine systems. Dr. Tong has supervised multiple Masters and PhD students and is eligible to discuss supervision opportunities. Research interests include flow-structure interactions, vortex dynamics, and the hydrodynamics of offshore infrastructure. Recent work addresses challenges in subsea power cable design, filter unit optimization for cable protection, and flood-resistant amphibious housing. Dr. Tong has secured significant funding from organizations like Aurora Offshore Engineering, SCU Seed Schemes, and the Australian Research Council. Key publications (2023-2025) explore wake dynamics, cylinder oscillation effects, and hydrodynamic forces in marine environments. Grants include projects on HVDC cable bundles, flood prediction systems, and nature-based solutions for flood resilience. Professional roles include committee memberships with Engineers Australia and coordination of the Master of Engineering Management program at Southern Cross University.
