André Frainer is an Associate Professor in Freshwater and Terrestrial Ecology at the Department of Arctic and Marine Biology, UiT The Arctic University of Norway. His research focuses on cross-ecosystem interactions, particularly between freshwater and terrestrial systems, and how human-induced disturbances impact biodiversity-ecosystem functioning relationships. He contributes to teaching in Arctic inland waters and global change courses.
