Katarina Švab is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Library, Information Science and Book Studies within the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ljubljana. She specializes in bibliographic information systems, digital libraries, and user experience, with a focus on public and academic libraries. Her work bridges practical librarianship with academic research. Completed her studies in geography and library science Doctorate in Information Sciences (2016) Guest lecturer at Kent State University (2022) Her research explores user interaction with library systems, collection development, and health education in libraries. Recent publications analyze public library events, catalog usability, and barriers to library service utilization. She co-authored the textbook Organization of Library Collections and has contributed to international conferences on library information systems.
