Jesús Rodrigo Comino is a researcher affiliated with the Department of Geography at the Universitat de València, Spain. He is a member of the SEDER (Soil Erosion Rates and Runoff Generation) research group, focusing on geomorphological processes, soil erosion, and sustainable land management in Mediterranean and arid environments. He holds two doctoral degrees: one from the Universidad de Málaga (2018) and another from the Universitat Politècnica de València (2023), both centered on soil erosion in vineyards and topographic monitoring. His research interests span soil erosion , hydrological processes , land degradation , climate change impacts , and nature-based solutions for sustainable agriculture and urban resilience. He actively employs geospatial technologies, including GIS and remote sensing, and conducts field experiments such as rainfall simulations to assess soil erodibility and conservation strategies. His interdisciplinary work integrates environmental, agricultural, and urban systems, with a strong emphasis on Mediterranean and global dryland regions. The analysis of his recent publications (2022–2025) reveals a consistent focus on environmental sustainability, with recurring themes in soil quality assessment , urban resilience to extreme weather , erosion control in vineyards , and participatory land management . His work often bridges scientific research with practical applications in land use planning, agricultural policy, and disaster risk reduction. He has contributed to numerous scientific journals and has been involved in teaching applied geospatial tools and land management. His academic contributions include methodological developments such as the improved stock unearthing method (ISUM) and the integration of UAVs for rapid geomorphological mapping. Doctorate, Universidad de Málaga (2018) Doctorate, Universitat Politècnica de València (2023)
