Ctibor Pilch is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Banking and International Finance, Faculty of Economics and Finance, University of Economics in Bratislava. His research focuses on behavioral finance , investor behavior , and banking regulation , with particular emphasis on monetary policy impacts , economic inequality , and countercyclical regulatory tools in the Eurozone. He has actively contributed to academic discourse through editorial leadership and participation in major research projects. Research trends in his work include systematic analysis of deviations from rationality in financial decision-making , distributional effects of unconventional monetary policy , and structural imbalances in banking systems . In terms of grants and research leadership, Pilch has been a member of research teams for: VEGA 1/0693/17 : Investigated links between economic imbalances and banking stability post-Banking Union implementation (2017–2019). VEGA 1/0607/21 : Evaluated countercyclical regulation tools in the Eurozone (2021–2023). VEGA 1/0613/18 : Analyzed how monetary policy exacerbates economic inequalities (2018–2020). Since 2004, he has taught at the university level and served as Editor-in-Chief for the journal Financial Markets – Science Journal , underscoring his commitment to advancing financial research.
