Trudy Lewis is a Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Missouri’s College of Arts and Science. She holds a PhD from the University of Illinois-Chicago and has authored notable works such as The Empire Rolls and The Bones of Garbo , the latter earning the Sandstone Prize in Short Fiction. Her research focuses on creative writing and women’s literature, with recent teaching topics including Feminist Citizenship and Autofiction. Lewis is currently working on FestZero , a speculative novel exploring identity erasure. Her recent publications include stories in Four Way Review , New England Review , and South Dakota Review , reflecting her expertise in narrative experimentation, character dynamics, and thematic depth. Lewis’s work often intertwines personal and societal narratives, with a focus on marginalized voices and identity exploration.
