Prof. Dr. Fritz Kühn is a Professor of Molecular Catalysis at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the School of Natural Sciences and the Department of Chemistry. He holds a PhD from TUM (1994) and has held roles including Principal Researcher at the Instituto Tecnológico e Nuclear (2005), returning to TUM as a professor in 2006. Currently, he serves as Dean of Studies at the School of Chemistry, spokesperson for the TUM Graduate School, and member of TUM CREATE in Singapore. His research focuses on organometallic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and industrial catalysis applications. Prof. Kühn’s education includes studies at TUM, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Texas A&M University (1995–1996). He has authored/co-authored over 500 publications and 20 patents, with an h-index of 63 (2021). His work emphasizes catalyst design for industrial and medical applications, including collaborations with companies.
