Libor Pekař is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Automation and Control Engineering, Faculty of Applied Informatics, Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic. He has been employed at the university since 2006, progressing from Assistant to Associate Professor in 2018. His education includes a Ph.D. in Technical Cybernetics (2013) and a Habilitation in Machine and Process Control (2018), both from Tomas Bata University. His academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Automation and Informatics (2002) and a Master's in Automation and Control Technology (2005). Dr. Pekař's research focuses on Control Engineering and Automation, with particular emphasis on Process Control and Machine Control. His work bridges theoretical cybernetics and industrial applications in consumer industries. He actively contributes to the academic community as Editor of Mathematical Problems in Engineering since 2018 and as a member of the Academic Senate of Tomas Bata University. His international collaborations span institutions in Slovenia, Austria, Slovakia, Poland, Portugal, Croatia, and Germany.
