Anton Volodymyrovych Fasolyak is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics at National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic". He actively participates in academic governance as a member of the university's Academic Council, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering's Academic Council, and the faculty's competition committee. He also maintains the Department of Mathematics webpage and serves on the university's labor collective conference. Dr. Fasolyak holds a Master's degree in Mathematics from Zaporizhia National University (2014), earned with honors, specializing in "Algebra and Number Theory". He defended his Candidate's thesis on "Dynamics of cylindrical shells in a three-dimensional elastic medium" in 2018. His primary research focus is on the Mechanics of Deformable Solids , with expertise in cylindrical shell dynamics in elastic media. His work bridges theoretical mathematics and practical engineering applications, developing specialized methods using bipolar coordinate systems to model complex structural behaviors. His research has significant implications for pipeline design, underground construction, and structural engineering, contributing to more accurate predictions of structural responses under various loading conditions. Analysis of his publication record reveals consistent progression from fundamental shell dynamics to increasingly sophisticated models of reinforced structures. His research demonstrates growing methodological complexity, expanded consideration of boundary conditions, and increasing interdisciplinary connections between mathematics, mechanics, and engineering applications. Key areas include cylindrical shell dynamics, reinforced structures, and specialized coordinate system applications. Dr. Fasolyak has received notable recognition for his academic contributions: Honorary Diploma (2021) from Department of Education and Science of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration for the 121st anniversary of NU "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic" Diploma (2024) from Executive Committee of Zaporizhzhia City Council for the 124th anniversary of NU "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic" As Head of the Department of Mathematics, Dr. Fasolyak oversees curriculum development and faculty mentoring while teaching Higher Mathematics courses. His department serves as a hub for mathematical research with engineering applications, particularly in structural mechanics and computational methods. He collaborates extensively with researchers Pozhuyev V.I. and Pozhuyev A.V. on advanced mechanics research, contributing to the university's scientific profile in applied mathematics and engineering.
