Raul M. S. Laureano is an Associate Professor at Iscte Business School, Department of Quantitative Methods for Management and Economics, and an Integrated Researcher at BRU-Iscte Business Research Unit. His academic career spans over 30 years since joining Iscte in 1992, where he directs the Master's program in Business Analytics and pioneered postgraduate programs in Applied Business Analytics. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Management (2007), Master's in Business Sciences (1995), and Bachelor's in Organization and Business Management (1992), all from Iscte. His research focuses on Health Analytics, Fraud Analytics, Public Administration, Tourism Analytics, and Applied Business Analytics, with over 90 scientific publications. His recent publications demonstrate a strong trend toward healthcare analytics (particularly diabetic retinopathy screening modeling), judicial system evaluation through citizen perception, and nonprofit risk management. His work combines agent-based simulation, predictive modeling, and dashboard development for real-world applications in public policy and healthcare.
