Hiva Alipour is an Associate Professor at Aalborg University, affiliated with the Department of Health Science and Technology within The Faculty of Medicine. She holds a D.V.M. (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) and a Ph.D. in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences. Her research focuses on reproductive and regenerative medicine, particularly male infertility, sperm biology, and the interplay between the microbiome, probiotics, and health outcomes. She has led interdisciplinary projects linking academia and industry, including clinical trials and basic science studies. Alipour’s research interests include exploring probiotics’ role in addressing fertility challenges and chronic conditions like obesity and pain. She collaborates internationally, contributing to Global Andrology Forum guidelines and publications on AI in scientific writing and regenerative therapies. She also serves as a project supervisor for initiatives like the probiotics-based management of male subfertility and chronic wound healing using stem cells. Her external roles include Head of Scientific Affairs at ProBiotix Health and academic support roles at NordicCell ApS and Microptic S.L. Her work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being. Key projects include studies on seminal plasma metabolomics, sperm DNA fragmentation, and probiotic effects on sperm kinematics. She has presented at conferences such as the Cook Medical Reproductive Health Summit and contributed datasets to platforms like Figshare.
