Andrew Glencross serves as Director of ESPOL (École Supérieure de Politique et de Management) at the Catholic University of Lille and holds the position of Professor of Political Science. Appointed Director in June 2023, he leads one of France's prominent political science institutions within the university's academic structure. His research centers on European integration dynamics, EU-UK relations post-Brexit, and the geopolitics of EU foreign policy with increasing focus on supply chain security and critical raw materials. Glencross's scholarly output demonstrates a clear evolution from constitutional and legitimacy questions in EU integration toward contemporary challenges of strategic autonomy and geopolitical competition. Analysis of his recent publications reveals three dominant thematic clusters: (1) Brexit's institutional and geopolitical consequences, (2) EU security of supply policy in critical minerals, and (3) narrative construction in international (dis)ordering processes. His work consistently applies comparative federalism frameworks to contemporary European challenges while emphasizing the role of political narratives in shaping policy outcomes. Glencross maintains active scholarly engagement through editorial roles including Associate Editor for ECPR Press and previously served as Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia. His bilingual proficiency in English and French facilitates transnational academic collaboration within European studies networks.
