Hocine IMINE is a Research Director at Gustave Eiffel University, where he has been working since 2021 after previously joining IFSTTAR (French institute of science and technology for transport, development and networks) in 2005. He holds a PhD in Robotics and Automation from Versailles University (2003) and received his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from Valenciennes University in 2012. He serves as Cohead of NEXTRIM Associated International Laboratory, established in 2021 with the University of Bologna, Italy. His primary research interests span Intelligent Transportation Systems, vehicle modeling and stability, nonlinear observation and control, simulation technologies, and cycling safety. Dr. IMINE has developed expertise in both heavy vehicle dynamics and bicycle/cyclist safety, with recent work focusing on bicycle simulators, cycling infrastructure assessment, and multimodal transportation systems. His research bridges theoretical control systems with practical transportation safety applications. Analysis of his recent publications reveals a clear evolution from heavy vehicle dynamics toward more comprehensive transportation systems research, with significant emphasis on vulnerable road users like cyclists.
