Prof. Julia Grimm holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Management, Organisation and Society section at Stockholm Business School, Stockholm University (since 2022). Previously, she served as Assistant Professor at Jönköping International Business School (2021-2022) and conducted postdoctoral research at institutions including the University of Cambridge, Leuphana University, and the University of Zurich. Her work focuses on transnational governance mechanisms addressing sustainability challenges in global supply chains, particularly through multi-stakeholder initiatives. Key research areas include collective action dynamics, organizational legitimacy, and institutional theory applications to wicked problems like child labor and climate change. Education: PhD (Dr. rer. pol.) in Management & Economics from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (2015-2019). Notable visiting scholar stays include Warwick University and King’s College London. Her research bridges sociology and business administration with a focus on qualitative methods like participant observation. Received prestigious awards including the SIM Best Book Award 2020 for her study on the German Partnership for Sustainable Textiles and the Wolfgang-Ritter-Preis 2020 recognizing her dissertation.
