Robert Seamans is a Professor of Management and Organizations, and Economics (by courtesy), at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He joined Stern in 2009 and serves as Director of the Center for the Future of Management. His research focuses on technology-driven strategic interactions between firms, AI’s economic consequences, and advanced technologies’ societal impacts. Seamans has held roles including Senior Economist for Technology and Innovation on President Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers (2015–2016). His work bridges academia and policy, addressing innovation, public policy, and organizational strategy. Education: B.A. in English (Reed College), M.B.A. (Yale School of Management), M.A. in Economics (Boston University), Ph.D. in Business Administration (UC Berkeley).
