Yaning Liu is an Associate Professor and Director of Statistical Programs at the Department of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver. Their research focuses on surrogate modeling with machine learning, uncertainty quantification, Monte Carlo methods, hydrological modeling, and subsurface energy storage. Education: PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Florida State University (2013), MS in same field (2011), BS in Information and Computational Science from Zhejiang University (2006) Yaning develops and teaches advanced courses including Monte Carlo Methods , Machine Learning Methods , and Uncertainty Quantification .
