Professor Lucie Cluver is a leading academic in child and family social work at the University of Oxford (Department of Social Policy and Intervention) and an Honorary Professor at the University of Cape Town (Psychiatry and Mental Health). She directs the UKRI GCRF Accelerating Achievement for Africa's Adolescents Hub and co-leads the Global Parenting Initiative , focusing on scalable interventions to prevent violence and improve outcomes for vulnerable youth. With over 200 peer-reviewed publications, her work combines longitudinal studies and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) across sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and Europe. Current projects include cash-plus-care models for HIV-positive adolescents, Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) program adaptations, and COVID-19 emergency parenting resources reaching over 210 million families globally.
