Anthony Tew is an Honorary Fellow at the University of York , affiliated with the Audio Lab Research Group in the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology. His work bridges binaural audio signal processing , acoustic modelling , and psychoacoustics , with applications in hearing aid algorithms and 3D audio technology . Research Areas : Binaural Audio, Spatial Audio, Signal Processing, Morphoacoustic Perturbation Analysis, SYMARE Database, Head-Related Transfer Functions (HRTFs) Collaborations : University of Sydney, BBC Research and Development Committees : Chair of University Learning and Teaching Projects Committee, Public Lectures Committee, and Science and Society Working Group His research focuses on optimizing HRTF synthesis for consumer 3D audio, improving binaural hearing aid algorithms, and auditory displays for accessible television. Recent publications highlight advancements in HRTF individualization , mesh validation , and spatial cue analysis . Collaborative projects with BBC R&D explore perceptual plausibility in virtual audio environments. Contact : tony.tew@york.ac.uk
