Dr. Derek Molloy is a Professor in the School of Electronic Engineering at Dublin City University , part of the Faculty of Engineering & Computing. He specializes in Embedded Systems, Machine Vision, and e-Learning. His work includes pioneering textbooks on Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone, with over 200,000 copies in circulation globally. He has been a Technical Assessor for IDA and Enterprise Ireland since 1999. Education B.Eng. (Hons) in Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University (scholarship recipient from Amdahl Corporation) Ph.D. in 'Motion Analysis using Active-Meshes' (2000) Research & Innovation His research focuses on Embedded Systems for IoT , 3D Visualization , and e-Learning technologies .
