Zsolt Istvan

Zsolt István is an Associate Professor at the IT University of Copenhagen specializing in distributed data management and specialized hardware accelerators. Previously, he served as an Assistant Research Professor at IMDEA Software Institute and a visiting PostDoc researcher at IBM Research Zurich. He holds a PhD from ETH Zurich's Systems Group, where his dissertation received the ETH Medal and an Honourable Mention for the EuroSys Roger Needham PhD Award.

His research explores cutting-edge technologies in distributed systems and hardware acceleration, focusing on improving computational efficiency in large-scale data processing environments.
