Prof. Zoubeida Ounaies is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University and a faculty member of the Intercollege Graduate Degree Program (IGDP) in Materials Science and Engineering (MatSE). She holds expertise in design, manufacturing, energy systems, mechanical sciences, and sensors/controls. Her research focuses on developing advanced polymers and polymer nanocomposites with coupled mechanical-electrical-chemical properties.
She is affiliated with Penn State’s College of Engineering and contributes to cross-disciplinary collaboration through the IGDP MatSE program.
