Zongsu Wei is a tenured Associate Professor at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering, Aarhus University, Denmark. He leads the Water Engineering Innovation Lab and has secured 31 million DKK ($4.5M USD) in grants from Danish and EU agencies. His work focuses on water sustainability, PFAS degradation, and radical chemistry, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications (h-index 53).
Education: PhD in Environmental Engineering (Ohio State University, 2015), followed by postdoctoral research at Technion, UCLA, and Auburn University. Joined Aarhus University as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in 2019.
Research Interests: Advanced oxidation technologies for water treatment, antimicrobial resistance gene transfer in urban water cycles, and sustainable wastewater management. He explores sonochemistry, MXene materials, and enzymatic degradation pathways.
