Prof. Dr. Zoltán Kaposi is a university professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Pécs, where he has been employed since 1990. As a Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (2009), he contributes to economic and social history research while holding leadership roles like President of the Doctoral Council of Economics (since 2023).

His research focuses on economic history, agricultural history, and urbanization, with recent publications examining 1930s tourism development and feudal estates in Hungary. His work spans historical analysis, cultural heritage, and regional development, particularly in Hungarian contexts.
Kaposi has received multiple honors including the Master Teacher Gold Medal (2019), Central European Research Award, and the Pro Cura Ingenii award (2021). He has led numerous research projects and been recognized for teaching excellence.
