Zohar Komargodski is a Professor at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook University. Previously, he worked at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton and the Weizmann Institute of Science. His research spans quantum field theory, focusing on conformal field theories, gauge theories, and supersymmetry, with significant contributions to renormalization group flows and anomalies.
- Education: PhD from Weizmann Institute (2008), advisors: Ofer Aharony and Micha Berkooz.
- Key Contributions: Proved the a-theorem in 4D QFT with Adam Schwimmer, advanced supersymmetric localization, and studied anomalies in Yang-Mills theory.
His recent work explores the interplay between partition functions, thermal limits, and geometric structures in SUSY theories. He has also contributed to understanding dualities in 2+1 dimensional systems and non-perturbative RG flow properties.
