Dr Zoe Staines is Senior Lecturer in Social Science at UQ, examining structural injustice through interdisciplinary research on welfare systems and policy impacts. As Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Australian Journal of Social Issues, she publishes on compulsory income management, remote workfare policies, and gender inequality.
Her recent studies analyze UBI frameworks for economic security and critique conditional welfare programs. Research collaborations include government and NGO partnerships addressing Indigenous policy evaluation.
