Zoe Hoy

Zoe Hoy is a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Quality Management at the University of Portsmouth's School of Organisations, Systems and People. She holds an MSc in Strategic Quality Management (Distinction) and is pursuing a part-time PhD expected to be submitted by September 2024. Her PhD research focuses on agile software development challenges and requirements engineering frameworks.

Her research interests include Agile software development, requirements engineering, and requirement prioritisation. Industry experience spans 11 years in quality roles (e.g., ISO 9001/27001 audits, quality team leadership) and 7 years in software engineering (requirements design, automated testing).

Zoe’s recent publications analyze agile methodologies, software startup challenges, and limitations in prioritisation approaches. She collaborates with institutions like IGI Global and Springer, and her work is cited across academic and industry platforms.

Teaching focuses on quality management in business operations and transformation. She actively participates in academic events, such as the 2024 BAL Learning and Teaching Conference.
