Zlatica D. Marinković is a Full Professor in the Department of Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electronics, University of Niš, Serbia. She has been actively contributing to research, teaching, and academic leadership, with a strong focus on microwave engineering, neural network modeling, and biomedical applications of microwave technologies.
Research Interests: Her work centers on the application of artificial neural networks in modeling microwave devices such as HEMTs and RF MEMS, with emphasis on temperature-dependent behavior, noise modeling, and nonlinear effects. She explores smart sensors for healthcare and safety, particularly using microwave techniques for gas detection and biomedical diagnostics.
The recent articles highlight a consistent trend in using neural networks for modeling and designing microwave components, especially GaN HEMTs and RF MEMS devices. Her research bridges microwave engineering with machine learning, targeting applications in healthcare, telecommunications, and instrumentation. The keywords span microwave engineering, neural networks, and biomedical sensing, with subfields including device modeling, sensor design, and computer-aided engineering.
- Aleksandar Marinković Award for achievements in microwave technology (2012)
She has supervised and mentored students through research projects and has led national teaching innovation projects like "MULTIKOM". She has participated in 7 national and 3 international research projects, and 6 teaching development projects. She currently leads one national research project. Her editorial roles include Associate Editor for International Journal of Numerical Modelling, and membership on the boards of Microwave Review and Facta Universitatis.
She has organized workshops and special sessions at international conferences such as TELSIKS and EuMCE, focusing on smart modeling and biomedical applications. She is a member of the organizing committees for ICEST and TELSIKS conferences. Her work in Erasmus+ programs includes exchange activities with universities in Italy, Bulgaria, Malta, and Germany.
