Zhong Songfa is Professor of Economics at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Professor (on leave) at National University of Singapore. He holds a PhD from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and BA from Peking University.
His interdisciplinary research integrates behavioral experiments, genetic analysis, and neuroimaging to study economic decision-making. Key areas include risk/time preferences, social preferences, competitiveness, and the biological basis of economic behavior.
Recent publications explore decision theory, behavioral genetics, AI-human decision comparisons, and physician decision patterns. His work frequently combines laboratory experiments with real-world data validation.
