Zhiyuan Chen is a Professor and Chair of the Information Systems Department at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Cornell University, with prior work experience including a postdoc at Microsoft Research and research roles at AT&T and IBM. His research focuses on data privacy, adversarial machine learning, database systems, and semantic web technologies.
