معرفی
Zhixiang Chen is a Lecturer in Machine Learning at the Department of Computer Science, University of Sheffield, UK. He previously held postdoctoral research positions at the Imperial Computer Vision and Learning Lab of Imperial College London (with Dr. Tae-Kyun Kim) and the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University (with Prof. Jie Zhou and Prof. Jiwen Lu). His academic journey includes obtaining a Ph.D. from Tsinghua University under the supervision of Prof. Jie Zhou and Prof. Jiwen Lu.
- Current Role: Lecturer in Machine Learning, University of Sheffield
- Previous Positions: Postdoctoral Research Associate (Imperial College London), Postdoctoral Researcher (Tsinghua University)
His research focuses on 3D vision, specifically machine perception of 3D human models and large-scale retrieval systems. He actively seeks motivated PhD students, offering competitive funding opportunities. Collaborations and visiting positions are also encouraged through informal inquiries.
The 3D vision and machine learning themes in his recent publications reflect his expertise in contrastive learning, feature aggregation, and 3D reconstruction. His work integrates neural networks with geometric modeling to advance monocular 3D detection and morphable models.
Interested candidates are invited to contact him directly for PhD positions or collaborative projects.
