Zhiqi Hu

Zhiqi Hu is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge, where her doctoral research focused on maintaining geometric building digital twins using spatial and visual datasets, supported by a European Marie Curie Fellowship. Prior to academia, she gained experience in IT, venture capital, and real estate sectors.

Her current research at Oxford emphasizes point cloud-based displacement and deformation monitoring, collaborating with Harvey Burd and Yiyan Liu. She is affiliated with the Civil and Offshore Engineering Research Group and actively contributes to Scan-vs-BIM and Scan-to-BIM initiatives. Her work integrates computer vision, point cloud processing, and digital twin technologies to advance infrastructure monitoring and building information modeling (BIM).
