Zhipeng Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kansas (KU), where he also served as Associate Chair and Director of Undergraduate Studies from July 2022 to December 2023. His research focuses on probability and mathematical physics, particularly on the analysis of random growth models, KPZ universality class phenomena, and their connections to integrable systems. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Michigan (2014), preceded by an MS from Peking University (2008) and a BS from Peking University (2004).
