Zhimei Ren is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She completed her PhD in Statistics at Stanford University in 2021 under the supervision of Emmanuel Candès, with committee members Trevor Hastie, Art Owen, and Jonathan Taylor. Her dissertation focused on model-free methods for multiple testing and predictive inference.
She previously served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago Statistics Department (2021-2023) under Rina Foygel Barber. She co-organizes the International Seminar on Selective Inference and maintains active research in conformal inference, derandomized knockoffs, and robust statistical methods.
