Dr. Zhiguo Ding is Professor of Communications at the University of Manchester's School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research spans 5G networks, game theory, cooperative networks, and statistical signal processing. He is an IEEE Fellow and Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher.
His work on non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) earned multiple IEEE awards including the 2018 Heinrich Hertz Award and 2019 Best Signal Processing Letter Award. Current research focuses on hybrid NOMA optimization and energy-efficient mobile edge computing.
Professor Ding serves as Area Editor for IEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society and holds editorial positions at IEEE Transactions on Communications and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technologies. His group investigates cooperative NOMA systems for IoT applications.
