Zhengzheng Xu

Zhengzheng Xu is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiation Oncology at University of Southern California, specializing in medical physics for USC Norris Cancer Hospital and LAC+USC Medical Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from University at Buffalo and completed residency at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center.

His research develops advanced techniques in image-guided adaptive brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS/SBRT), and small field dosimetry. Xu focuses on improving treatment accuracy through in vivo dose tracking and automated segmentation methods.

Publications demonstrate consistent innovation in radiotherapy quality assurance, with progression from dosimetry fundamentals to clinical implementations of deep learning for treatment planning.

Awards include AAPM chapter awards for young investigators and academic scholarships. He serves as Lead for Medical Physics LINAC Machine QA and QA Audits.
