Dr. Zheng Li is a Professor of Economics at the School of Economics and Finance, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and holds an Honorary Professorship at the University of Sydney Business School’s ITLS. His research bridges behavioral economics and transport economics, focusing on risk attitudes, perceptual conditioning, and uncertainty in travel decisions. He has published nearly 40 articles in top journals like Transportation Research Parts A, B, D, and E. His work on discrete choice modeling under uncertainty has been acclaimed as exceptional in the field.
Education: BEng (Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), MHRM (Monash University), MLM, MPhil, PhD (University of Sydney).
Research interests include transport economics, behavioral decision-making under risk, demand forecasting, and big data applications. Recent work explores green logistics efficiency, digital transformation impacts on urban innovation, and autonomous driving trust dynamics.
His articles analyze structural breaks in fuel consumption, preschool gratification delays affecting academic performance, and social media’s role in financial risk prediction. Key contributions address travel time reliability valuation and behavioral elements in public transport choice models.
