Zeyu Bian

Zeyu Bian is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at Florida State University. He earned his PhD in Biostatistics from McGill University in 2022, advised by Dr. Erica Moodie and Dr. Sahir Bhatnagar. His research focuses on reinforcement learning, causal inference, and dynamic treatment regimens with applications in personalized medicine and pricing strategies.

His work bridges methodological advancements in statistical learning with practical challenges in healthcare and economics. Key contributions include developing variable selection techniques for individualized treatment rules and advancing off-policy evaluation in complex environments.

Zeyu has taught courses such as STA 5238: Applied Logistic Regression at Florida State University and served as a teaching assistant for statistical learning and optimization courses at McGill. His research is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
