Zeynep Hasirci Tuğcu is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at Karadeniz Technical University (KTU), where she has been working since 2025. She previously served as a Research Assistant at KTU from 2009 to 2017 and as a Dr. Öğr. Üyesi (Assistant Professor) from 2018 to 2025. Her career includes a one-year industrial role at Turkcell İletişim Hizmetleri A.Ş. (2008-2009) and a one-year Erasmus-supported doctoral period at Halmstad University (2011-2012).
- Education: B.Sc. in Electrical-Electronics Engineering (KTU, 2008), M.Sc. in Electrical-Electronics Engineering (KTU, 2011), Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (KTU, 2017; with Erasmus exchange at Halmstad University).
Her research focuses on mobile and satellite communication, propagation modeling, electromagnetic fields, vehicle-to-vehicle communication, and power line communication (PLC). She has contributed to wireless communication, telecommunications, and electronic circuits, with institutional affiliations spanning academia and industry.
Zeynep has 75 WoS publications, 30 Scopus publications, and an H-index of 31 (WoS). She has supervised 2 theses and holds strong English language skills. Her work intersects with the UN Sustainable Development Goals through technological innovation.
