Zejiang Wang is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas), affiliated with the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. His research focuses on dynamic systems modeling, estimation, control, and optimization, with applications in autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and intelligent transportation systems. He holds a PhD from The University of Texas at Austin, an MS in Cyber-Physical Systems from École Polytechnique (Paris-Saclay), and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Southeast University.
Key research areas include resource-aware connected automated vehicles, human-centric driving support systems (tailoring ADAS to individual driver styles), cooperative driving automation through V2X communication, and rural mobility solutions leveraging CAVs. His work emphasizes safety and efficiency while minimizing energy consumption.
