Zehra Çobandede

Zehra Çobandede is a Researcher and Team Leader of the Energy and Chemistry Laboratory at Sabanci University. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology and has extensive experience in nanomaterials research, including roles as a Post-Doctoral Researcher (Sabanci University, 2021-2022), Research Assistant (Yeditepe University, 2015-2021), and Technical Specialist (Yeditepe University, 2011-2015). Her work focuses on nanomaterial synthesis, characterization, and biomedical applications, particularly involving boron-nitride and piezoelectric materials.

Research interests include scaffold fabrication for tissue engineering, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, and the development of nanomaterials for energy storage and cancer therapy. She has contributed to interdisciplinary projects such as piezoelectric nanocomposites for bone regeneration and drug delivery systems using boron nitride nanotubes.

Her publications highlight advancements in nanomaterial-based solutions for energy, healthcare, and environmental challenges. She is a Delegate of the International Younger Chemist Network (IYCN), representing Turkey in global chemical research initiatives.
